Maternity Outpatient Clinic
The Maternity Outpatient Clinic offers specialized health care for dangerous pregnancies, fetus observation and delivery planning. The clinic attends patients by referral. The referral is written by a health clinics doctor or midwife. You will get an appointment time by mail or in urgent cases by phone.

When coming to the clinic, please reserve enough time and always take your maternity card with you. At the Maternity Outpatient Clinic, check in to the Department Secretary. The midwife will meet you and takes the ordinary child health clinic controls. CTG (foetal heartbeat record) will be taken if needed. At the doctors appointment you can discuss any matters of your pregnancy. An ultrasound examination is also done in most cases to determine the weight and presentation of the foetus. The umbilical cords flow is also checked. Usually the doctor also examines the cervix.
