Health and medical fees have a maximum of 636 €. If your fees exceed the maximum, you will only be collected 15,10 €/24h for short term institutional care.
You have to follow your costs and when they exceed the maximum yourself. You are provided a card for keeping track with your costs. You also must present the relevant receipts when presenting that the maximum has been overrun. An exemption card is granted by the hospital where the maximum has reached (Economy Unit, tel (06) 3231778). The accumulation period is one calendar year, 1.1.-31.12. The period of limitation is the next calendar year.
