At its meeting on 30 April, the Central Hospital's Emergency Management Group decided that the Central Hospital will move from a full state of readiness back to a state of enhanced readiness.

The corona situation in Vaasa Hospital District is calm. At its meeting on 30 April, the Central Hospital's Emergency Management Group decided that the Central Hospital will move from a full state of readiness back to a state of enhanced readiness. The reason for the decision is that the criteria required for a full state of readiness are no longer being met. The change will take effect on Monday 4 May.

Practical changes in the hospital's activities during Week 19:

  • The Intensive Care Unit will again be provided in one unit only
  • The oncology ward will move back to its own space in the S-building
  • The number of planned activities will gradually increase.

If necessary, it is possible to return to a full state of readiness at short notice. The Emergency Management Team is monitoring the situation and assessing the contingency level on a daily basis.
