Eye disease outpatient clinic
Eye Disease Outpatient Clinic treats patients with various eye diseases, the most common of which are glaucoma, squint (strabismus), eye infection, changes in the retina due to diabetes, and age-related macular degeneration.
The unit comprises the Eye Disease Outpatient Clinic with ophthalmic day surgery facility and operating room. It is situated on the 6th floor of the A wing.
Emergency patients presenting outside opening hours are treated at the Vaasa Central Hospital Accident & Emergency Clinic or at the Turku University Hospital (TYKS) ophthalmology unit .
Patients presenting to the Clinic require a referral from a primary care or private physician for examination and treatment. Patients are admitted to the Clinic either by appointment or as emergency patients.

We perform various kinds of eye examinations, fundus photography and outpatient surgery and provide laser treatment.
